US Navy chief ‘not surprised’ by Japan PM’s concern over Taiwan

Adm. Daryl Caudle, U.S. chief of naval operations, told reporters Monday in Tokyo that “I can’t say I’m surprised” by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s recent remarks that a hypothetical Chinese invasion of Taiwan could constitute an existential threat.
