Polling continues to show a deadlocked race in Pennsylvania

Washington Post poll released Friday afternoon finds no clear leader in the race for president in battleground Pennsylvania, with Vice President Kamala Harris taking 48% support among likely voters and former President Donald Trump standing at 47%.

The poll finds that 37% of all registered voters in the state describe the nation’s economy as good or excellent, a slight uptick from 33% in September. Roughly 6 in 10 call the economy extremely important to their vote, with voters giving Trump a modest 5-point edge over Harris on trust to handle the issue. Trump also leads Harris by a wider margin on trust to handle immigration, while Harris leads on abortion and health care.

Incorporating the new Washington Post poll, the CNN Poll of Polls in Pennsylvania stands at a 48% to 48% tie, unchanged from the average released earlier this morning. All six polls included in the average find the race between the candidates within the margin of error, suggesting no clear leader in the race for Pennsylvania’s critical 19 electoral college votes.
