Walz tells volunteers to ignore “roller coaster” in final hours before Election Day

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz rallied volunteers at a canvass launch event in Georgia on Sunday, projecting confidence in the key battleground state while urging supporters to ignore polling and keep working in the final hours to earn as many votes as possible on behalf of Vice President Kamala Harris.

The Democratic vice presidential nominee thanked supporters gathered at a field office in Norcross, Georgia, for taking the time to campaign for Harris, making a few nods to possible churchgoers in the Gwinnett County office.

“I am preaching to the choir. But our recital is two days away. What we’re going to be doing on those doors is singing to folks. We’re not going to sit around and watch the ‘poll-er coaster.’ ‘Oh, we’re winning. …’ No, no, no,” he said. “We are going to win this race. But we have not yet won this race. … This will be won through the states like Georgia.”
