Energy cooperation focused on liquefied natural gas will be discussed when President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba hold their summit on Friday, Sen. Bill Hagerty, a former U.S. ambassador to Japan, said on Thursday.
“I see energy security as a tremendous opportunity for our two nations,” the Republican from Tennessee and frequent golf partner of the president said in remarks at the Hudson Institute think tank here. Hagerty said he and Trump have discussed this at length.
